Matchups and Mismatches

When we look at matchups by unit and compare the teams playing a particular game, there are intriguing matchups and mismatches each week. The Total Points PDF has this for each game in the NFL in a given week.

You can also find much of this information at the SIS DataHub Pro.

Here are some things we noticed:

(All references to rankings are in the context of Total Points Per Play)

* De’Von Achane and the 3rd-ranked rushing unit for the Dolphins will look to put on a ground attack in Madrid against the 30th-ranked Commanders run defense.

* The battle of the trenches will be must-see TV in Buffalo on Sunday, as the Bills 2nd-ranked pass blocking unit face the Buccaneers 6th-ranked pass rush.

* Can Chase Brown and the 2nd-ranked Bengals rushing attack take it to the Steelers 28th-ranked run defense once again? They ran for a combined 142 yards in their previous matchup in Cincinnati.

* The Chiefs and Broncos bring their Top 5 passing AND pass coverage units to square off against each other in a massive AFC showdown in Denver.
